Electrical Upgrades

Have you thought about the electrical in your home and how you would like to make plans to upgrade and improve your living space?

If your home is more than 25 years old, and you've never upgraded your electrical service, you may be living with an inadequate and possible hazardous system. Not having enough power isn't just an inconvenience; it can actually damage sensitive electronics. It's very hard on these devices if the voltage drops off. Even with adequate power, you may need to add outlets to avoid relying on power strips and extension cords, an inconvenience and a potential safety hazard.

When you consider electrical upgrades, you also take steps to increase safety and reduce fire hazards along with increasing the value of your home.

Look around and what do you see? Do your outlets need adapters for three prong plugs? Are your kitchens and bathrooms protected with ground fault circuit interrupter outlets (GFCI's)?

These are just a few signs that you should consider adding and or upgrading your electrical outlets throughout your home.

You may also want to ask yourself when adding or replacing a major electrical appliance, will that appliance be able to handle the load? While a salesman or installer might tell you that your system can handle it, be smart and ask your electrician for a second opinion.

Upgrades can run from minor to major, and we at Pingston Electric can help you figure out just how much and how little of an upgrade you need.
